Service Description

Enjoy a pickup from the Port of Praia and start the day with this historical tour to discover Santiago Island's heritage sites. Upon disembarking your cruise ship, it's just a short 2-minute walk to the only exit from the small Port of Praia. There, you will meet your expert guide who will be waiting for you with your name on a sign. From here we will take you to the heart of Plateau, and take a walking tour through the Jaime Mota Military Barracks, Presidential Palace, Praça Alexandre Albuquerque, and the Municipal Market (closed on Sundays). Afterward, we’ll head to Cidade Velha, the first city built by Europeans in sub-Saharan Africa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; Visit the former slave market, and stroll along the famous Banana Street with its thatched roof houses. After immersing yourself in the local history and culture with our knowledgeable guide you tour concludes with drop-off at Praia Harbor. Green Line Tours will make any refund due within a maximum of 20 working days after the cancelation date.
