Meet Angela and Paulo Silva

We met in high school, in the same Boston neighborhood, Paulo having immigrated from São Vicente as a boy, Angela born and raised there. What started as friendship between two neighborhood kids grew into 30 years together, thank God, and counting.

We started our family early in life, welcoming our daughter, and by the time she was two, we'd already taken our first family trip together to Cabo Verde. That was 2002, and it changed everything. Angela still jokes that Paulo is the best guide in the islands, because his very first guests were her and their daughter. That trip was the beginning of an adventure that never really stopped.

Today we have four children and one grandchild, and we're just as in love with these islands as we were on that first trip. We're naturally adventurous, we love the outdoors, hiking the mountains, swimming the beaches of São Vicente, cooling off in the tank pools of Santo Antão, playing beach soccer with family and friends. Most of all, we love people, and we love to help.
